Angler Checklist
You Bring
- Alaska Sport Fishing License (Age 16+) Legally required before boarding. Buy online at ADF&G or locally in Soldotna.
- King Salmon Stamp Required only if you are on a charter targeting King Salmon.
- Waterproof Rain Jacket & Pants High-quality hooded rain shell. Alaskan weather can shift rapidly from sunshine to drizzle.
- Insulating Thermal Layers Fleece, wool, or synthetic puff jackets. Avoid cotton jeans or sweatshirts which hold moisture.
- Polarized Sunglasses Vital for eye protection from hooks and for cutting glacial glare to spot running fish.
- Food, Water & Beverages Pack a personal lunch, snacks, and favorite drinks. We have onboard coolers with ice.
Fish Processing & Shipping Home
Mikey fillets and bags all harvested salmon at the landing. If you would like your catch vacuum-sealed, flash-frozen, and boxed with airline-approved insulated coolers (or shipped via overnight air freight directly to your doorstep), local commercial processors in Soldotna and Kenai (e.g. Kenai Fish Express or Soldotna Fish Processing) can take receipt right after your trip.
